active older adults (AOA)

Nearly every month, there are day trips for senior adults (age 50 and older) on a Harris County Precinct 3 bus to all types around Southeast Texas.  Recent trips have included the San Jacinto Monument, a theater production in Rockport, Historic Columbus and a visit to the Van Gogh exhibit at MFAH. Each outing includes lunch at local restaurant. Please see our Calendar tab for upcoming trips or contact the office with any questions.

The United Methodist Men’s Organization meets on the third Monday evening of each month, unless otherwise designated. All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner followed by a program of general interest to the group.

Servant Leadership, as modeled by Jesus Christ, is set forth as the goal for which we strive as United Methodist Men. We invite every man to begin the journey with us, as we become servant leaders together.

“Lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through our steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”  Matthew 6:20-21

The UMW of St. Philip’s has existed as long as the church has been in existence. Their primary function is Christian fellowship with an emphasis on mission work.

The current daytime members meet the second Tuesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall for a light brunch and fellowship. Membership is open to all women of the church.

The evening group, known as The Faith Night Circle, meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall for a light dinner, fellowship and a program.
